Triangle Taiko holds performance and hosts workshops year round for many different organizations including schools, professional events, festivals, and International Fairs. Performances and workshops will vary based on your request and our member’s availability. You can view some of our performances on our YouTube channel if you are curious how our performances are structured.
Here are some key points to consider before putting in a request form:
- We prefer requests to be made at least 2 months in advance.
- Our standard performance length is 20-30 minutes. Longer performances up to one hour may be considered with sufficient advanced notice, and additional performance fees may apply.
- For weekday requests, workshops are easier to accommodate than performance requests due to the limited availability of our members. The Taiko workshops are to teach the basics of playing Taiko and they range from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.
- We are a non-profit organization, thus any performance fees and individual contribution to the group is appreciated as they are used only for maintenance or purchase of drums and equipment.
- If the performance venue is outside of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, we would charge a travel fee based on number of performers needed to attend.
